Key Accountability:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Grants Coordinator will use their extensive demonstrated expertise to research, develop, write, edit and submit clear compelling and creative proposals, managing the grant proposal process from development and submission to final reports.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an extensive research on grants prospect research to identify new foundation, corporate and institutional grant opportunities;
  • Develop, write and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations and corporations, persuasively communicate the association's mission and programs, to meet grant requirements;
  • With the Executive Director, gather information necessary to prepare the report activities of the expected grant programs, and write the reports;
  • Create and maintain a deadline driven calendar of grant opportunities and activities to ensure timely and accurate submission of letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports;
  • Prioritize workload to keep multiple projects moving forward in a timely manner;
  • Assist with other fundraising activities upon request.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Past experience demonstrating success in researching and preparing proposals, preferably in a non-profit organization,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including high level command of English grammar and spelling,
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills,
  • Ability to work independently and with a team,
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Google Suite,
  • Previous experience in grant writing would be an asset,
  • French would be an asset.

Hours:

This is a 6 weeks contract position, working 15 hours/week. Working days are negotiable and you may have the opportunity to work from home.

Salary: $15.00 /hour + up to 30% bonus at the end of the contract
