We are looking for a Master Planner to join our talented client's Manufacturing and Logistics department to carry out and expedite specific planning functions related to the execution of our production plan while optimizing work in progress (WIP) materials and the cost of carrying inventory. This role requires interaction with key stakeholders at all levels throughout the organization, both locally and internationally based. This position reports directly to the Team Manager, Supply Chain Management.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and partner with Business and Commercial Managers, International Product Managers, and Operations to translate business requirements to production plans
- Chair the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings
- Develop, generate, and review key performance metrics related to master planning to include forecasting, accuracy, finished goods inventory turns, customer delivery performance and report to key stakeholders
- Monitor, control, and drive master plan to ensure objectives and improvement actions are met to balance inventory levels with product availability
- Improve and enhance master planning process to optimize overall supply chain performance
- Develop and establish master schedule that satisfies planned sales, profitability margins, manufacturing capacity, and lead time
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience with master planning and scheduling processes within high-tech fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to synthesize complex technical and business data enabling big picture analysis, make necessary links and connections and develop innovative solutions
- Proven competence with manufacturing processes: Lean, JIT, world class manufacturing techniques
- Advanced Excel skills
- ERP software experience required, SAP an asset
