In this role, you will develop and support Test Systems for our Manufacturing department and product development.
You will have to interface and control different pieces of test equipment, for a manufacturing environment, to make certain that our products meet quality and performance requirements.
Requirements:
- An Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma of Electronics Technology from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing test development role or equivalent
- A NI Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) experience or 4+ years with LabVIEW programming for developing custom test applications
- 3+ years of experience using CAD tools along with an understanding of analog, digital and power circuits, PCB layout
- Experience in the use of both firmware abd hardware diagnostics and debugging tools
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
- Medical device (Class B/2) testing and firmware programming on Arduino platforms are nice to have but not absolutely necessary
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of test fixtures/systems for manufacturing/engineering, including bed of nails or test jigs/fixtures, primarily using LabVIEW, but may also include .Net, Visual Studio, Python, C or VB as appropriate for the product being tested
- Create and follow through with Test Plans to produce Test Reports
- Derive specific hardware, firmware and software test procedures and customize test equipment to automate or guide manufacturing test in a production environment
- Document test designs, including: technical documentation, user instructions, Test System definition/requirements and Test System Validation plans and reports
- Support remote manufacturing facilities when test fixtures are being introduced, updated, and/or investigate and repair remotr facilities test fixture failures
- Support existing manufacturing test systems to address production problems or improve test efficiency
- Work-out design compromises for DFT with engineering and manufacturing resources
- Provide on-going support, maintenance, periodic calibration/verification, continuous improvement
- Implement data logging and back-up of test result and facilitate the extraction of metrics for further analysis and regular review
- Maintain production firmware and software distribution on the production floor
