Development of design solutions for the control, distribution and management of high voltage systems
Develop component design requirements from system and cascaded requirements
Development of installation data and procedures (including test procedures, test reports and product manuals)
Conducting testing to verify concepts and progress designs to production readiness
Ability to document designs with detailed requirements, specifications, system functional descriptions, schematic diagrams and architectures
Participation in peer and design reviews
Define and evaluate the product safety concept for high voltage safety, isolation/bonding and combustible atmospheres
P.Eng or eligibility for P.Eng status
Must have experience designing, integrating and validating safety systems for high voltage/high power vehicle applications.
Five to ten years experience in relevant Engineering Experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Working knowledge of NI LabVIEW considered an asse
Experience in working the full life cycle of a project from bidding and requirements definition, through designing, building, qualifying and supporting the fielded hardware
Experience with industry standards relevant to the design of hybrid electrical vehicle systems
Experience in the use of Matlab Simulink/Simscape
Experienced in tuning of control loops
VA/VE or design to cost experience considered an asset
Structured problem solving skills (8D, 5-Whys)
